VolunteerING

Daily Opportunities:

• Share in conversation, reminisce  with participants 

• Assist with daily recreation and life enrichment activities

• Prepare program materials for future activities and projects

• Interact with participants one-on-one (reading, telling stories, games, gardening, etc.)

• Help with administrative tasks

• Lead or present activity programs (exercise, arts/crafts, music, etc.)

Other Opportunities:

• Adopt a flower bed (weeding and watering)

• Do outside gardening

• Play music or sing

• Do public speaking and raise community awareness

• Assist with fundraising and marketing

• Help with outings and field trips

• Work on yard and building maintenance

• Serve as a substitute cook

The Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties is working with Charles House to make our activities better known in the community and to provide opportunities for donations to promote our efforts.

Would you like to share a special skill, talent or interest with us?  We welcome volunteers from the community, including those with professional backgrounds.
