Volunteers play an important role in the life of Charles House, both in the Daytime Program and at Charles House-Winmore Eldercare Home.  

  Program & Music Volunteers. Community members volunteer in the Daytime Program to share a hobby, interest, travel experience with participants during the morning and afternoon topical program times.  Musicians in the community volunteer to participate in the 2:00-3:00 daily music time at Charles House. Piano players, guitarists, duos, small groups will lead participatory music sessions and/or include performance. Many genres of music are included in the music programs, including music from the great American songbook and musical theatre, bluegrass, jazz, classical.  

 Staff Volunteers. Some community members find meaning in supporting the Program Team in carrying out the daytime program and sign on as Staff Volunteers, committing 2-4 hours once a week.
